Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care based on clinical needs.
- Monitor patient vitals and clinical condition, reporting any changes promptly.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by doctors.
- Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and rounds.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
- Ensure effective nurse-patient communication and provide patient education.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
- Manage patient admissions, transfers, and discharges efficiently.
- Ensure proper collection and handling of samples for diagnostic investigations.
- Maintain inventory of medicines, consumables, and medical equipment.
- Ensure readiness of emergency equipment such as crash carts.
- Implement infection control and hygiene protocols to prevent hospital-acquired infections.
- Provide basic and advanced life support in emergency situations.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort at all times.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the ward/unit.
- Follow biomedical waste management guidelines as per regulations.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, accreditation standards, and ethical practices.
- Participate in training programs and continuous professional development.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
