The Pharmacist will provide medicine dispensing, pharmacy inventory support, prescription verification, patient medicine guidance, pharmaceutical documentation, and medication safety at Fortis Hospitals, New Delhi. This requires D.Pharm or B.Pharm qualification with 0–3 years of experience in pharmacy, pharma, pharmaceutical services, medicine, inventory, and pharmacovigilance.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Dispense medicines accurately against valid prescriptions and hospital pharmacy procedures.
- Verify prescription details including patient name, medicine, dosage, duration, strength, route, and quantity.
- Check expiry date, batch number, storage condition, stock availability, and billing accuracy before issue.
- Explain medicine usage, timing, storage, precautions, and warning signs to patients or attendants.
- Maintain pharmacy records, issue registers, return entries, expiry trackers, and stock movement documentation.
- Monitor stock levels, near-expiry medicines, shortages, damaged items, and reorder requirements.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing team, billing counter, stores, purchase, and pharmacy team members.
- Follow storage standards for refrigerated medicines, high-alert drugs, emergency drugs, and specialty medicines.
- Assist in inventory audits, stock reconciliation, and correction of documentation gaps.
- Report adverse drug reactions, dispensing errors, or patient medication concerns through proper channels.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient prescriptions and pharmacy records.
- Deliver accurate, safe, and ethical pharmacy service support.
