Sr. Consultant - Paediatric

The Sr. Consultant – Paediatric will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of pediatric conditions, managing inpatient and outpatient care, and ensuring effective coordination with multidisciplinary teams. The requires strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a patient-centric approach to deliver high-quality pediatric healthcare services.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic pediatric illnesses.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments including medical history and physical examinations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans.
• Manage pediatric patients in OPD, IPD, and emergency settings.

• Interpret laboratory results, imaging, and diagnostic reports.
• Provide emergency care and stabilize critically ill pediatric patients.
• Coordinate with neonatologists, specialists, and nursing staff for patient care.
• Counsel parents and caregivers regarding diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care.
• Ensure adherence to pediatric care protocols, safety standards, and hospital policies.
• Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, and multidisciplinary meetings.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient medical records and documentation.
• Support immunization programs and preventive healthcare initiatives.
• Guide and supervise junior doctors, RMOs, and pediatric staff.
• Participate in clinical audits, research, and continuous medical education.
• Ensure compliance with NABH standards and ethical medical practices.
• Promote child health awareness and community outreach programs.
