Dietitian

The Dietitian will provide nutrition assessment, therapeutic diet planning, patient counselling, diet chart preparation, inpatient diet coordination, food service communication, and nutrition documentation at Shree Medishine Hospital, Raipur. This requires B.Sc Nutrition and Dietetics or M.Sc Nutrition and Dietetics qualification.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patient nutritional needs based on diagnosis, age, medical condition, and doctor advice.
• Prepare therapeutic diet plans for diabetes, cardiac disease, renal disease, obesity, pregnancy, pediatric, and general health conditions.
• Counsel patients and attendants regarding diet, lifestyle, food choices, portion control, and follow-up care.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, kitchen, food service, and patient care teams.
• Monitor patient food intake, tolerance, nutritional progress, and diet compliance.
• Prepare and update diet charts as per clinical requirement and hospital process.
• Educate patients on balanced diet, hydration, nutrition safety, and healthy eating habits.
• Support inpatient diet planning, OPD nutrition counselling, and wellness diet guidance.
• Maintain diet counselling records, patient notes, and nutrition documentation.
• Ensure food quality, hygiene, and diet instructions are followed properly.
• Participate in health awareness or nutrition education activities when required.
• Deliver practical, patient-friendly, and evidence-based nutrition guidance.
