The Officer / Sr. Officer – QC will be responsible for performing quality control testing, analyzing raw materials and finished products, and ensuring adherence to quality standards. The involves conducting laboratory tests, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting quality assurance processes. The candidate will work closely with production and QA teams to ensure consistent product quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in quality systems.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products as per specifications.
- Conduct routine and non-routine laboratory testing using appropriate analytical techniques.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, GLP, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and complete laboratory records, logs, and documentation.
- Review and verify test results to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Prepare and standardize reagents, solutions, and reference materials.
- Monitor environmental conditions in the laboratory as required.
- Identify out-of-specification (OOS) results and assist in investigations.
- Support deviation handling, CAPA implementation, and root cause analysis.
- Coordinate with production and QA teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Participate in method validation, verification, and transfer activities.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of samples, chemicals, and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the laboratory.
- Participate in internal and external audits and inspections.
- Prepare QC reports, certificates of analysis (COA), and MIS reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and proper disposal of laboratory waste.
- Monitor inventory of laboratory chemicals, consumables, and glassware.
- Train and guide junior staff on testing procedures and quality standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality enhancement programs.
- Stay updated with advancements in analytical techniques and regulatory guidelines.
