Consultant Gynecologist

The Consultant Gynecologist will play a critical in managing women’s health issues, including reproductive health, pregnancy care, and gynecological disorders. This requires strong clinical expertise, surgical proficiency, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of gynecological conditions including menstrual disorders, PCOS, endometriosis, fibroids, and infections.
• Provide comprehensive antenatal, intranatal, and postnatal care to patients.
• Conduct routine and high-risk pregnancy management, ensuring maternal and fetal well-being.
• Perform gynecological surgeries such as hysterectomy, laparoscopy, and other minimally invasive procedures.
• Conduct normal deliveries, assisted deliveries, and cesarean sections as required.
• Perform routine gynecological examinations, screenings, and preventive health check-ups.
• Provide family planning services, contraceptive counseling, and fertility guidance.
• Manage infertility cases and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
• Interpret diagnostic tests including ultrasound, Pap smear, and laboratory reports.
• Collaborate with neonatologists, anesthetists, and other specialists for comprehensive care.
• Manage obstetric and gynecological emergencies effectively.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, reports, and clinical documentation.
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, patient safety standards, and infection control guidelines.
• Educate patients on reproductive health, prenatal care, and lifestyle modifications.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case discussions, and clinical audits.
• Stay updated with advancements in gynecology and obstetrics practices and technologies.
• Handle medico-legal cases with appropriate documentation and compliance.
• Participate in outreach programs, health camps, and awareness initiatives for women’s health.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise and guide junior doctors, residents, and nursing staff when required.
• Maintain patient confidentiality, dignity, and professionalism at all times.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and accreditation processes.
• Work in rotational shifts and be available for emergency cases and on-call duties.
• Promote a patient-centric approach and high standards of clinical care.
• Contribute to the growth and development of gynecology services within the organization.
