Associate Consultant Paediatrics

The involves diagnosing and treating pediatric conditions, ensuring preventive care, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality pediatric services.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of pediatric medical conditions.
• Conduct thorough physical examinations and developmental assessments for children.
• Provide preventive healthcare including vaccinations and routine health check-ups.
• Manage acute and chronic illnesses in pediatric patients.
• Monitor growth, nutrition, and developmental milestones of children.
• Provide emergency care for pediatric cases including infections, respiratory distress, and trauma.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans.
• Counsel parents and caregivers on child health, nutrition, and disease prevention.
• Collaborate with pediatric specialists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals.
• Participate in OPD consultations, IPD care, and pediatric ward rounds.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient medical records and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to pediatric care protocols and hospital guidelines.
• Supervise junior doctors, residents, and nursing staff when required.
• Participate in neonatal and pediatric ICU care if needed.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards.
• Support immunization programs and child health awareness initiatives.
• Participate in clinical audits, research, and academic activities.
