Job Description
Radiology Technician is responsible for operating radiology equipment, performing diagnostic imaging procedures, and ensuring accurate imaging support for patient diagnosis and treatment. The involves preparing patients for imaging procedures, maintaining radiology equipment, ensuring patient safety, and coordinating with healthcare professionals for quality diagnostic services.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Operate radiology equipment such as X-ray machines, CT scanners, and related imaging systems.
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures and explain the imaging process clearly.
- Ensure patient comfort, safety, and proper positioning during imaging procedures.
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures as per physician instructions and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals for accurate imaging support.
- Maintain image quality standards and ensure proper radiographic techniques.
- Monitor and maintain radiology equipment for proper functioning and performance.
- Report equipment malfunctions or technical issues to the concerned department promptly.
- Maintain accurate patient records, imaging reports, and procedure documentation.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and secure handling of medical records and imaging data.
- Follow radiation safety guidelines and infection control protocols strictly.
- Assist in emergency imaging procedures and urgent diagnostic requirements when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of radiology rooms and equipment areas.
- Coordinate with nursing, OPD, IPD, and emergency departments for imaging schedules.
- Stay updated with advancements in radiology technologies and imaging techniques.
- Perform additional radiology and diagnostic support responsibilities assigned by management or supervisors.
