Pharmacist

The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medicines, checking prescriptions, maintaining pharmacy stock, guiding patients on medicine usage, and supporting pharmacy operations in the eye hospital. This requires D.Pharm or B.Pharm qualification, pharmacy knowledge, accuracy, inventory discipline, and patient-friendly communication. The candidate will ensure safe, ethical, and timely medicine dispensing.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Dispense medicines and eye drops as per valid prescription.
• Verify medicine name, dose, quantity, expiry date, and billing details before issue.
• Guide patients on medicine usage, eye drop application, timing, storage, and precautions.
• Maintain stock records, purchase entries, issue details, and pharmacy documentation.
• Monitor expiry dates, near-expiry medicines, shortages, and reorder requirements.
• Arrange medicines and eye care products properly with clear labeling.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, billing, purchase, and pharmacy incharge.
• Handle patient medicine queries politely and professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of pharmacy shelves and counters.
• Follow pharmacy regulations, hospital SOPs, and patient safety standards.
• Support stock audits, physical verification, and reconciliation activities.
• Ensure proper storage of temperature-sensitive and high-alert medicines.
