Job Description

Fortis Healthcare Limited is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Radiology Technician to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, ensure accurate image acquisition, and support radiologists in delivering high-quality diagnostic services. The involves operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining imaging standards.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, and other radiological tests.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort.
  • Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Operate and maintain radiology equipment in accordance with safety standards.
  • Ensure proper calibration and routine quality checks of imaging machines.
  • Follow radiation safety protocols and minimize patient and staff exposure.
  • Assist radiologists during advanced imaging procedures when required.
  • Process, review, and ensure quality of images before submission for reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures and patient data.
  • Handle contrast media administration under supervision when required.
  • Monitor patients for any adverse reactions during or after procedures.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of radiology rooms and equipment.
  • Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff for patient scheduling and workflow.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety guidelines, and NABH standards.
  • Manage inventory of radiology consumables and supplies.
  • Participate in emergency imaging services and on-call duties.
  • Assist in patient transfer and positioning for critical cases.
  • Participate in quality assurance and audit activities.
  • Stay updated with advancements in radiology technology and techniques.
  • Maintain professionalism, patient confidentiality, and high standards of care.
