Resident Medical Officer

Resident Medical Officer (RMO) is responsible for providing continuous medical care to patients, handling emergency situations, monitoring patient conditions, and supporting consultants in clinical management. The involves patient assessment, treatment coordination, medical documentation, and ensuring smooth day-to-day medical operations within the hospital.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide routine and emergency medical care to inpatients and outpatients.
• Conduct patient examinations and monitor clinical conditions regularly.
• Assist consultants during ward rounds, procedures, and emergency cases.
• Initiate and update patient medical records, progress notes, and treatment documentation.
• Monitor vital signs and ensure timely medical intervention when required.
• Handle medical emergencies and provide immediate stabilization and treatment.
• Coordinate investigations, diagnostic procedures, and follow-up of reports.
• Administer medications and treatments as per consultant instructions and hospital protocols.
• Ensure proper communication with patients and families regarding treatment updates.
• Coordinate with nursing staff and other departments for effective patient management.
• Maintain accurate discharge summaries, admission notes, and clinical reports.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and patient safety standards.
• Participate in handover and takeover processes during shift changes.
• Support ICU, ward, emergency, and OT services when required.
• Participate in clinical meetings, audits, and training programs.
• Perform additional medical and administrative responsibilities assigned by management or senior consultants.
