Duty Medical Officer

The Duty Medical Officer will manage patient assessment, ward care, emergency response, consultant coordination, treatment support, clinical monitoring, and medical documentation at Suyash Hospital, Raipur. This requires BAMS or BHMS qualification with 2–3 years of experience in medical services, patient care, clinical support, and hospital operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Attend OPD, IPD, emergency, ward, ICU, and assigned clinical patients during duty hours.
• Take patient history, conduct basic clinical examination, and support diagnosis under consultant guidance.
• Assist consultants during rounds, procedures, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Monitor patient vitals, investigation reports, medication response, symptoms, and clinical progress.
• Maintain case sheets, progress notes, prescriptions, discharge summaries, and handover records.
• Coordinate with nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, ICU, OT, billing, and administration teams.
• Respond to emergency calls and escalate critical cases promptly to senior doctors or consultants.
• Review reports and inform seniors about abnormal or urgent clinical findings.
• Support patient admission, discharge, referral, transfer, and movement processes.
• Counsel patients and attendants under consultant guidance regarding treatment and follow-up care.
• Follow hospital clinical protocols, infection control, patient safety, and documentation standards.
• Deliver safe, timely, ethical, and professional medical support.
