Job Description:

U. N. Mehta Institute of Cardiology & Research Centre is seeking for an Assistant Professor in Pathology to join its academic and diagnostic team. The candidate will be responsible for teaching, laboratory diagnostics, and contributing to research and academic excellence within the department.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Deliver lectures, practical sessions, and demonstrations to undergraduate and postgraduate students
• Assist in curriculum planning, academic activities, and student assessments
• Supervise and guide students in laboratory work, case studies, and research projects
• Perform and oversee diagnostic pathology services including histopathology, cytology, and hematology
• Ensure adherence to laboratory quality standards, protocols, and accreditation requirements (NABL/NABH)
• Interpret laboratory findings and support clinicians in accurate diagnosis
• Participate in hospital-based multidisciplinary discussions and case reviews
• Engage in research activities and publish in peer-reviewed journals
• Participate in CMEs, seminars, workshops, and academic programs
• Maintain proper documentation of academic and laboratory work
