Job Description:

U. N. Mehta Institute of Cardiology & Research Centre is seeking for an Associate Professor in Anesthesiology to join its academic and clinical team. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality anesthesia care, teaching medical students, and contributing to research and departmental development.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Administer anesthesia for various surgical procedures including cardiac and non-cardiac cases
• Monitor patients pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively to ensure safety and optimal outcomes
• Manage critical care cases and provide support in ICU settings
• Deliver lectures, clinical teaching, and practical training to undergraduate and postgraduate students
• Participate in curriculum development, academic planning, and student assessments
• Supervise and guide junior doctors, residents, and interns
• Ensure adherence to anesthesia protocols, patient safety standards, and NABH guidelines
• Handle emergency cases and provide life-saving interventions when required
• Participate in research activities, publications, and academic programs such as CMEs and workshops
• Collaborate with surgeons and other departments for effective patient care
