Junior Pathologist

Job Description:

U. N. Mehta Institute of Cardiology & Research Centre is seeking for a Junior Pathologist to join its diagnostic team. The candidate will be responsible for performing and supporting pathology services, ensuring accurate reporting, and contributing to quality patient care.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform and report diagnostic tests including histopathology, cytology, and hematology
• Examine tissue samples, body fluids, and blood specimens for accurate diagnosis
• Ensure timely and precise reporting of laboratory results
• Maintain quality control and adhere to NABL/NABH standards and laboratory protocols
• Coordinate with clinicians for clinical correlation and effective patient management
• Assist in frozen section reporting and special staining techniques (if applicable)
• Maintain proper documentation and laboratory records
• Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and accreditation processes
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of laboratory samples
• Stay updated with latest advancements in pathology and diagnostic techniques
