ICU Nurse

The ICU Nurse will be responsible for providing critical care nursing, continuous monitoring, medication administration, ventilator support assistance, emergency response, and documentation for critically ill patients. This requires GNM or B.Sc Nursing qualification, ICU experience, clinical alertness, infection control discipline, and coordination with intensivists, doctors, and multidisciplinary teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to critically ill patients in ICU.
• Monitor vitals, ECG, oxygen saturation, ventilator parameters, and clinical changes.
• Administer medicines, IV fluids, injections, infusions, and emergency drugs as prescribed.
• Assist doctors during rounds, procedures, intubation, CPR, and emergency care.
• Maintain ICU charts, medication records, intake-output, and nursing notes.
• Handle ICU equipment such as monitors, infusion pumps, suction, and oxygen devices.
• Follow infection control, central line care, catheter care, and ICU safety protocols.
• Identify clinical deterioration and escalate immediately to doctors.
• Coordinate with lab, radiology, pharmacy, blood bank, and ward teams.
• Educate relatives as per hospital communication policy.
• Maintain cleanliness, equipment readiness, and organized ICU workflow.
• Deliver safe, compassionate, and high-alert critical care nursing.
