X-Ray Technician -Radiographer

The X-Ray Technician - Radiographer will be responsible for performing radiographic imaging, preparing patients, operating X-ray equipment, maintaining radiation safety, and supporting diagnostic reporting workflow. This requires Diploma or B.Sc Radiology qualification, technical accuracy, patient handling skills, and adherence to radiology safety standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform X-ray and radiographic procedures as per doctor request.
• Prepare patients and explain imaging procedure before examination.
• Position patients correctly to obtain accurate diagnostic images.
• Operate X-ray machines and related radiology equipment safely.
• Follow radiation protection standards for patients, staff, and self.
• Verify patient identity, test requisition, and imaging requirements.
• Maintain radiology records, exposure logs, equipment logs, and documentation.
• Coordinate with radiologists, doctors, nurses, emergency, and billing teams.
• Identify poor image quality and repeat imaging only when clinically required.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of X-ray room and equipment.
• Report equipment malfunction or safety concerns to seniors promptly.
• Support timely imaging and smooth radiology department workflow.
