Staff Nurse - OT Gynae

The Staff Nurse - OT, Gynae will be responsible for supporting gynecology operation theatre procedures, patient preparation, sterile assistance, post-operative handover, and nursing documentation. This requires GNM or B.Sc Nursing qualification, OT nursing skills, gynecology procedure knowledge, infection control discipline, and coordination with surgeons, anesthetists, OT staff, and ward teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare gynecology OT for surgical and procedure cases.
• Assist surgeons and anesthetists during gynecology procedures.
• Prepare sterile instruments, surgical trays, linen, medicines, and consumables.
• Support patient shifting, positioning, draping, and pre-operative preparation.
• Maintain aseptic technique and sterile field during procedures.
• Monitor patient safety and assist during emergency OT situations.
• Maintain instrument count, sponge count, and procedure documentation.
• Coordinate with CSSD, pharmacy, ward, recovery, and OT teams.
• Support post-operative patient shifting and handover to recovery or ward staff.
• Follow infection control, biomedical waste, and OT safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of OT areas and equipment.
• Deliver safe and professional gynecology OT nursing support.
