Staff Nurse

The Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing professional nursing care, medication administration, patient monitoring, doctor assistance, and documentation in assigned hospital departments. This requires GNM or B.Sc Nursing qualification, clinical knowledge, patient-friendly communication, infection control awareness, and commitment to safe patient care.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to admitted and outpatient department patients.
• Monitor vitals, symptoms, intake-output, and treatment response.
• Administer medicines, injections, IV fluids, and nursing procedures as prescribed.
• Assist doctors during rounds, procedures, and emergency care.
• Maintain nursing notes, medication charts, handover records, and patient files.
• Prepare patients for investigations, procedures, transfer, surgery, and discharge.
• Follow infection control, biomedical waste, and patient safety protocols.
• Communicate patient updates to doctors and senior nurses promptly.
• Coordinate with pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, billing, and support teams.
• Educate patients and relatives about treatment, medication, and follow-up.
• Maintain cleanliness, discipline, and proper arrangement of nursing areas.
• Deliver compassionate and professional patient care.
