Job Description

The Officer to Executive - Microbiology QA will be responsible for supporting microbiology quality assurance activities, environmental monitoring review, contamination control compliance, documentation, deviation handling, audit readiness, and sterile manufacturing quality support. This requires M.Sc Microbiology qualification with 2–7 years of experience in pharmaceutical microbiology, QA systems, aseptic area compliance, and GMP documentation.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Review microbiology-related QA documents, environmental monitoring data, and compliance records.
  • Support contamination control strategy, aseptic process monitoring, and cleanroom compliance.
  • Review media fill documentation, sterilization records, water monitoring data, and microbiology reports.
  • Coordinate with microbiology QC, production, QA, engineering, and validation teams.
  • Support deviation, incident, CAPA, change control, and investigation documentation related to microbiology.
  • Monitor aseptic practices, gowning compliance, hygiene standards, and cleanroom behavior.
  • Support audit readiness for microbiology QA and sterile manufacturing areas.
  • Review SOPs, protocols, validation documents, and microbiology compliance reports.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for contamination, EM excursions, and sterility-related events.
  • Ensure GMP, GDP, data integrity, and regulatory compliance in microbiology quality systems.
  • Support training on aseptic practices, contamination control, hygiene, and microbiology SOPs.
  • Track quality actions, closure timelines, and compliance status for microbiology observations.
  • Maintain accurate records, trackers, and quality documentation.
  • Escalate critical microbiology compliance issues to seniors promptly.
  • Ensure strong microbiology quality assurance support for sterile operations.
