Officer to Executive -Microbiology - QC

The Officer to Executive - Microbiology QC will be responsible for microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, water testing, sterility support, microbial limit testing, documentation, and laboratory compliance. This requires M.Sc Microbiology qualification with 2–7 years of experience in pharmaceutical microbiology laboratory operations, GLP, GMP, aseptic practices, biosafety, and quality control documentation.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing as per approved SOPs and pharmacopoeial requirements.
• Support environmental monitoring, water testing, microbial limit testing, and bioburden testing.
• Prepare and sterilize media, reagents, glassware, and microbiology consumables.
• Operate incubators, autoclaves, biosafety cabinets, air samplers, and microbiology equipment.
• Maintain microbiology worksheets, logbooks, culture records, media records, and test documentation.
• Follow GLP, GMP, GDP, biosafety, aseptic practices, and data integrity requirements.
• Report contamination, abnormal growth, invalid tests, deviations, or equipment issues to seniors.
• Support sterility testing, media fill monitoring, growth promotion testing, and microbial identification.
• Coordinate with QA, production, engineering, validation, and quality teams for microbiology requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness, controlled conditions, and proper segregation in microbiology laboratory areas.
• Support calibration, qualification, and maintenance of microbiology instruments.
• Participate in OOS, deviation, CAPA, and investigation activities when required.
• Ensure proper disposal of cultures, media, biological waste, and contaminated materials.
• Support audit readiness by maintaining complete and accurate documentation.
• Ensure reliable, compliant, and timely microbiology quality control testing.
