ITI - Electrician

The ITI Electrician will handle installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, machinery, and utilities within the organization. This requires technical expertise, attention to safety standards, and the ability to quickly resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment across the facility.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Maintain electrical panels, switchgear, transformers, and distribution systems.
• Ensure uninterrupted power supply to laboratory equipment and critical systems.
• Monitor and maintain backup power systems such as DG sets and UPS.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.
• entify potential electrical hazards and take corrective actions.
• Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Coordinate with external vendors for major electrical work and servicing.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
• Ensure proper earthing, load balancing, and energy efficiency practices.
• Respond to emergency electrical breakdowns promptly.
• Maintain inventory of electrical tools, spare parts, and consumables.
• Assist in facility management and infrastructure-related tasks.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and maintenance protocols.
• Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and safety guidelines.
• Participate in audits and compliance inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of electrical work areas.
• Work in shifts or on-call duties as required.
• Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams for smooth operations.
