Anesthesia Technician

The Anesthesia Technician will be responsible for anesthesia equipment preparation, OT readiness, airway equipment checking, patient monitoring support, anesthesia procedure assistance, and documentation at Shalby Hospitals, Indore. This requires Diploma qualification with 2–3 years of experience in anesthesia technology or operation theatre technical support.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare anesthesia machines, monitors, circuits, airway tools, and emergency drugs before procedures.
• Assist anesthesiologists during surgeries, procedures, intubation, and recovery support.
• Check oxygen, suction, ventilator, vaporizer, laryngoscope, and monitoring equipment readiness.
• Support patient positioning, procedure preparation, and OT workflow.
• Maintain anesthesia equipment logs, cleaning records, checklists, and documentation.
• Coordinate with OT nurses, surgeons, biomedical, ICU, recovery, and ward teams.
• Report equipment malfunction, missing items, or safety concerns to seniors immediately.
• Follow infection control, PPE, OT safety, and patient safety practices.
• Support emergency airway management and code blue readiness when required.
• Ensure proper cleaning, storage, and handling of anesthesia equipment.
• Maintain discipline and preparedness in OT and procedure areas.
• Support safe and smooth anesthesia technical services.
