House Keeper

The House Keeper will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation, waste handling, patient area cleaning, and infection control support at Velammal Group Institutions, Madurai. This requires 10th or 12th standard qualification with 1–2 years of housekeeping experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, wards, classrooms, OPD areas, corridors, toilets, and public areas as assigned.
• Follow cleaning schedules, housekeeping SOPs, and hygiene standards.
• Support routine cleaning, deep cleaning, and urgent cleaning requests.
• Handle biomedical waste and general waste as per institutional guidelines.
• Use cleaning materials, disinfectants, and equipment safely and properly.
• Maintain cleanliness in patient care and academic areas without disturbing workflow.
• Report spills, damages, maintenance issues, or safety concerns to seniors promptly.
• Coordinate with nursing, administration, maintenance, and housekeeping teams.
• Follow hand hygiene, PPE, infection control, and safety practices.
• Ensure clean, safe, and hygienic institutional premises.
