The Speech Language Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for speech, language, communication, voice, swallowing, and developmental communication disorders at Velammal Group Institutions, Madurai. This requires BASLP or M.Sc SLP qualification with 0–3 years of experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients with speech, language, communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing difficulties.
- Prepare individualized therapy plans based on patient age, diagnosis, and functional needs.
- Provide speech therapy sessions for children, adults, and patients with neurological or developmental conditions.
- Conduct screening, evaluation, progress monitoring, and therapy documentation.
- Counsel patients, parents, and caregivers regarding therapy goals and home practice.
- Coordinate with doctors, therapists, teachers, psychologists, and rehabilitation teams.
- Maintain therapy records, assessment reports, progress notes, and follow-up plans.
- Support early intervention, rehabilitation, and special education-related communication support.
- Use appropriate therapy tools, activities, and communication techniques.
- Ensure patient-friendly, ethical, and outcome-focused speech therapy services.
