Job Description

Wockhard Hospitals is seeking a Casualty Medical Officer to oversee emergency department operations, attend to incoming patients, and ensure timely medical intervention. The involves rapid assessment, documentation, coordination with consultants, and maintaining high standards of patient care in emergency situations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide immediate medical attention to emergency and newly admitted patients
  • Conduct patient assessment including history taking and clinical examination
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient details, treatment plans, and case sheets
  • Coordinate with consultants and implement treatment orders promptly
  • Monitor patient condition, conduct rounds, and report any clinical changes
  • Follow up on investigations, review reports, and update treatment accordingly
  • Ensure pre-operative preparation, consent verification, and coordination with anesthetists
  • Manage Medico-Legal Cases (MLC) and maintain proper records
  • Handle patient concerns with empathy and ensure effective communication
  • Support development of clinical SOPs and ensure adherence to hospital protocols
