SR / Attending Consultant - Internal Medicine

The SR / Attending Consultant – Internal Medicine will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of adult medical conditions. The requires strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to handle both routine and critical cases while guiding junior medical staff.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide spectrum of acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Conduct thorough patient evaluations including history taking and physical examinations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient consultation services.
• Manage critical and emergency medical cases effectively.
• Interpret diagnostic tests including laboratory reports, imaging, and ECG.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as required.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative medical care support.
• Collaborate with specialists for multidisciplinary patient management.
• Guide and supervise junior doctors, RMOs, and medical staff.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records.
• Educate patients and families regarding disease management and prevention.
• Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, and clinical meetings.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, SOPs, and clinical protocols.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, ethics, and confidentiality.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
• Stay updated with latest advancements in internal medicine practices.
• Contribute to teaching, training, and mentoring of medical staff.
• Support hospital initiatives for patient care excellence and outcomes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by hospital management.
