HVAC Technician

The HVAC Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, ensuring optimal air quality, temperature control, and compliance with hospital safety standards. The requires technical expertise, preventive maintenance skills, and the ability to respond promptly to system breakdowns.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning, ventilation, and heating units.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
• Monitor HVAC systems to maintain appropriate temperature, humidity, and air quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC equipment.
• Ensure proper functioning of AHUs, chillers, cooling towers, and ventilation systems.
• Maintain clean air systems in critical areas such as OT, ICU, and labs.
• Monitor and maintain HEPA filters and air filtration systems.
• Ensure compliance with hospital safety standards and HVAC regulations.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance.
• Coordinate with facility and maintenance teams for system upgrades and repairs.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests.
• Ensure energy-efficient operation of HVAC systems.
• Conduct periodic inspections and audits of HVAC systems.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools required for maintenance.
• Follow safety protocols and use appropriate protective equipment.
• Ensure minimal disruption to hospital operations during maintenance work.
• Support infection control measures through proper ventilation management.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new HVAC systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of HVAC equipment areas.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by facility management or administration.
