Job Description
The Radiology Incharge will be responsible for managing daily radiology operations, supervising staff, ensuring optimal functioning of imaging equipment, and maintaining quality and safety protocols. The requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and coordination with clinical teams to deliver accurate and timely diagnostic services.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the radiology department.
- Supervise radiology technicians and support staff.
- Ensure proper functioning, maintenance, and calibration of radiology equipment.
- Monitor imaging procedures including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound services.
- Ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles.
- Maintain high standards of image quality and diagnostic accuracy.
- Coordinate with doctors and departments for timely imaging services.
- Manage scheduling and workflow to ensure efficient patient handling.
- Ensure proper patient preparation and safety during imaging procedures.
- Maintain records, reports, and documentation of radiology services.
- Monitor and control inventory of radiology consumables and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct quality checks, audits, and process improvements in the department.
- Train and guide staff on best practices and safety protocols.
- Handle patient queries and ensure patient comfort and satisfaction.
- Manage biomedical waste disposal as per guidelines.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of imaging data and reports.
- Coordinate equipment servicing and vendor management.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.
- Report departmental performance and issues to hospital management.
