Technician- Electrical

The Technician – Electrical will be responsible for operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems including panels, transformers, DG sets, and utilities. The involves preventive and breakdown maintenance, monitoring equipment performance, and supporting project and installation activities. The candidate will also ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain electrical systems including MCC, PCC, APFC panels, VCB, transformers, UPS, and motors.
• Ensure smooth power distribution and uninterrupted plant operations.
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Operate and maintain DG sets (Auto/Manual) and ensure proper load management.
• Monitor and maintain utility equipment such as RO plant, chillers, and air compressors.
• Conduct regular inspection of electrical panels and systems to prevent failures.
• Maintain daily maintenance logs, breakdown reports, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GMP guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Follow safety procedures including Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) and PPE usage.
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime.
• Assist in installation, commissioning, and validation of new electrical equipment.
• Support project-related activities and basic project management tasks.
• Monitor energy usage and recommend efficiency improvement measures.
• Ensure availability of critical spares and coordinate with procurement when required.
• entify risks and implement preventive maintenance strategies.
• Maintain housekeeping and ensure a safe working environment.
• Report incidents, deviations, and unsafe conditions to supervisors.
• Participate in audits and ensure readiness for inspections.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for plant reliability and efficiency.
