Radiology Incharge

The Radiology Incharge will be responsible for supervising radiology department operations, diagnostic imaging workflow, staff coordination, equipment readiness, and patient service quality. This requires strong knowledge of radiology procedures, imaging safety, departmental documentation, and team supervision. The candidate will coordinate with radiologists, technicians, doctors, biomedical teams, and administration to ensure accurate imaging services, timely reporting support, and smooth patient flow.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise daily radiology department operations and ensure smooth imaging workflow.
• Coordinate X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and other diagnostic imaging services as applicable.
• Allocate duties to radiology technicians and monitor staff performance during assigned shifts.
• Ensure patients are prepared, guided, and positioned properly for imaging procedures.
• Monitor image quality, patient safety, radiation safety, and departmental service standards.
• Coordinate with radiologists, doctors, nurses, front office, billing, and reporting teams.
• Ensure imaging equipment is functional, calibrated, clean, and ready for patient use.
• Maintain radiology registers, patient records, procedure logs, and department documentation.
• Monitor turnaround time for imaging procedures and support timely report coordination.
• Handle patient queries, complaints, and service delays professionally.
• Ensure radiation protection practices and proper use of safety accessories by staff and patients.
• Coordinate with biomedical and maintenance teams for equipment breakdowns or service requirements.
• Maintain stock of films, contrast materials, consumables, and radiology supplies.
• Support audits, quality checks, safety inspections, and hospital compliance requirements.
• Promote efficient teamwork, patient-friendly service, and accurate diagnostic support.
