Executive - Cost Accountant

Executive - Cost Accountant is responsible for managing accurate cost accounting, MIS reporting, financial analysis, and statutory compliance within the hospital. The involves monitoring cost structures, preparing detailed revenue and expense reports, analyzing departmental performance, and supporting management with insights for cost optimization and decision-making.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate costing, MIS reporting, and statutory compliance across all departments.
• Maintain cost control, financial transparency, and data integrity within the organization.
• Prepare and analyze department-wise revenue reports for OPD, IPD, and OT services.
• Segregate and reconcile OT and OPD revenues on a departmental basis.
• Allocate consumable costs for surgeries based on usage and inventory data.
• Allocate consultant fees, salaries, and manpower costs to respective surgeries.
• Distribute common and departmental expenses accurately across hospital departments.
• Perform detailed surgery-wise costing and calculate per-procedure costs.
• Analyze IPD expenses and identify cost patterns across departments.
• Link medical equipment usage with surgeries and compute depreciation costs accurately.
• Conduct costing analysis to identify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare manpower, equipment, and operational costing reports for management review.
• Monitor cost trends, variances, and financial performance indicators.
• Support internal audits, statutory audits, and income tax assessment activities.
• Prepare MIS reports and financial analysis for strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate with clinical, finance, and support teams for accurate data collection.
