Receptionist

Receptionist is responsible for managing front desk operations, patient registration, billing support, and ensuring smooth patient flow within the hospital. The involves handling OPD and IPD billing, processing payments, coordinating with departments, and providing excellent customer service to patients and visitors.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Generate OPD and IPD bills accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process payments through cash, card, UPI, and other available modes.
• Ensure correct billing for consultations, investigations, procedures, pharmacy, and consumables.
• Maintain daily cash collection records and prepare end-of-day reports.
• Register new patients and update existing patient information in hospital software systems.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and departments to ensure accurate service entry before billing.
• Manage patient flow and assist patients at the reception desk courteously.
• Schedule and manage patient appointments and follow-up visits.
• Handle patient queries regarding billing, services, and hospital procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of billing transactions and patient registrations.
• Ensure proper reconciliation of cash and digital payments daily.
• Support insurance-related billing coordination when required.
• Maintain cleanliness, discipline, and organization at the reception area.
• Ensure compliance with hospital billing policies and operational guidelines.
