Job Description

Experienced Glaucoma Surgeon - Ophthalmologist responsible for diagnosing, treating, and surgically managing glaucoma and related optic nerve disorders. Skilled in comprehensive glaucoma evaluation, laser procedures, medical management, and advanced glaucoma surgeries. Adept at preserving vision, controlling intraocular pressure, and delivering evidence-based ophthalmic care while ensuring patient safety, long-term disease management, and clinical excellence.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage glaucoma and other optic nerve-related disorders.
  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and glaucoma assessments.
  • Monitor intraocular pressure, visual fields, and optic nerve health.
  • Perform glaucoma surgeries and laser procedures as clinically required.
  • Manage patients with open-angle, angle-closure, congenital, and secondary glaucoma.
  • Interpret OCT, gonioscopy, pachymetry, visual field tests, and imaging reports.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans including medications and surgical interventions.
  • Provide pre-operative evaluation and post-operative care for glaucoma surgery patients.
  • Monitor treatment outcomes and manage disease progression effectively.
  • Educate patients regarding glaucoma management, medication adherence, and preventive eye care.
  • Coordinate with optometrists, ophthalmic technicians, OT teams, and healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, surgical notes, and clinical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and ophthalmic protocols.
  • Stay updated with advancements in glaucoma treatment techniques and technologies.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical excellence in ophthalmology services.
