Retina Surgeon-Ophthalmologist

Experienced Retina Surgeon (Ophthalmologist) responsible for diagnosing, treating, and surgically managing retinal and vitreoretinal disorders. Skilled in advanced retinal examinations, laser procedures, vitreoretinal surgeries, and management of complex ocular conditions. Adept at delivering specialized eye care, preserving vision, managing surgical complications, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and clinical excellence.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage retinal, macular, and vitreoretinal disorders.
• Conduct comprehensive retinal examinations and ophthalmic evaluations.
• Perform vitreoretinal surgeries and advanced retinal surgical procedures.
• Manage conditions such as retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and vitreous disorders.
• Perform laser treatments, intravitreal injections, and retinal interventions as required.
• Interpret OCT, fundus imaging, fluorescein angiography, and other retinal diagnostic reports.
• Provide pre-operative evaluation and post-operative care for retinal surgery patients.
• Monitor patient recovery and manage post-surgical complications effectively.
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans based on retinal disease progression.
• Coordinate with optometrists, ophthalmic technicians, OT staff, and healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate patient records, surgical notes, and clinical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and ophthalmic protocols.
• Educate patients regarding retinal diseases, treatment options, and preventive eye care.
• Stay updated with advancements in retinal surgery techniques and ophthalmic technologies.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical excellence in retina care services.
