Job Description

Experienced Pediatric and Squint Ophthalmologist responsible for diagnosing and treating eye disorders in children, including strabismus (squint), amblyopia, refractive errors, and pediatric ocular conditions. Skilled in pediatric eye examinations, squint evaluation, vision therapy, and surgical management. Adept at delivering child-focused ophthalmic care, improving visual development, and collaborating with families and healthcare teams to ensure optimal eye health and treatment outcomes.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage pediatric eye disorders and squint-related conditions.
  • Conduct comprehensive pediatric ophthalmic examinations and vision assessments.
  • Evaluate and treat strabismus, amblyopia, refractive errors, and developmental eye conditions.
  • Perform squint correction surgeries and related ophthalmic procedures when required.
  • Prescribe corrective lenses, medications, and vision therapy plans.
  • Monitor visual development and treatment progress in pediatric patients.
  • Interpret ophthalmic diagnostic tests and imaging results accurately.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for pediatric ophthalmic surgeries.
  • Educate parents and caregivers regarding eye care, treatment plans, and follow-up requirements.
  • Coordinate with pediatricians, optometrists, orthoptists, and healthcare teams.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, treatment documentation, and surgical notes.
  • Ensure child safety, infection control, and adherence to clinical protocols.
  • Participate in pediatric vision screening and community eye health programs.
  • Stay updated with advancements in pediatric ophthalmology and squint management techniques.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and patient-centered ophthalmic care services.
