Counsellor

Counsel is responsible for providing emotional support, guidance, and counseling services to patients and their families regarding medical conditions, treatment plans, and healthcare decisions. The involves understanding patient concerns, explaining treatment processes, assisting in decision-making, and ensuring a positive patient experience within the hospital. The candidate will act as a bridge between patients and clinical teams to improve communication, trust, and treatment adherence.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Counsellor patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and care plans.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to patients dealing with medical conditions and stress.
• Explain medical procedures, treatment processes, and hospital services in a clear and understandable manner.
• Assist patients in making informed decisions regarding treatment and healthcare options.
• Address patient concerns, doubts, and anxieties in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and healthcare teams to ensure proper communication with patients.
• Support patient admission, treatment continuation, and discharge counseling processes.
• Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and patient interactions.
• Follow up with patients to ensure treatment adherence and satisfaction.
• Guide patients regarding hospital processes, appointments, and departmental coordination.
• Assist in improving patient experience and satisfaction within the hospital.
• Handle sensitive patient cases with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Participate in patient education programs, awareness sessions, and support groups.
• entify patient psychological or emotional distress and escalate when necessary.
• Maintain a positive, supportive, and patient-friendly environment at all times.
• Coordinate with billing and administrative teams for patient-related queries when required.
• Ensure ethical counseling practices and compliance with hospital guidelines.

• Perform additional counseling and support-related duties assigned by management.
