Doctor Assistant is responsible for supporting doctors in daily clinical and administrative activities to ensure smooth patient care and efficient hospital workflow. Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist doctors during patient consultations, examinations, and minor procedures.
- Prepare consultation rooms, instruments, and necessary materials before patient visits.
- Manage patient flow and coordinate appointments for smooth OPD functioning.
- Record patient history, complaints, and basic clinical information as instructed by doctors.
- Maintain and organize patient files, reports, and medical records.
- Support in updating prescriptions, investigation requests, and treatment plans.
- Coordinate with laboratory, pharmacy, and diagnostic departments for patient requirements.
- Assist in explaining basic instructions to patients as guided by doctors.
- Ensure timely follow-up of patient reports, investigations, and appointments.
- Handle patient queries and guide them regarding hospital procedures and doctor schedules.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of consultation areas.
- Support in emergency patient coordination and immediate assistance when required.
- Enter data into hospital systems or EMR as per instructions.
- Assist doctors in maintaining documentation, reports, and medical records accurately.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information and hospital data.
- Coordinate with nursing and administrative staff for patient care requirements.
- Assist in scheduling surgeries, procedures, and follow-up visits.
- Support billing-related coordination when required.
