Dermatologist is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of skin, hair, and nail disorders. The involves evaluating patient conditions, performing dermatological procedures, prescribing appropriate treatments, and providing preventive skin care guidance. The candidate will play a key in delivering high-quality dermatology services while ensuring patient safety, satisfaction, and clinical excellence.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat various skin, hair, and nail conditions including infections, allergies, and chronic dermatological diseases.
- Conduct detailed patient evaluations, medical history assessments, and clinical examinations.
- Prescribe medications, topical treatments, and therapeutic procedures based on patient condition.
- Perform dermatological procedures such as biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and minor surgical interventions when required.
- Provide cosmetic dermatology services including chemical peels, laser treatments, and skin rejuvenation procedures.
- Manage chronic skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, vitiligo, and dermatitis.
- Counsel patients regarding skin care routines, treatment plans, and preventive dermatological care.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient records, treatment procedures, and follow-up notes.
- Educate patients on sun protection, skincare habits, and disease prevention measures.
- Collaborate with other specialists for multidisciplinary patient care when necessary.
- Handle dermatological emergencies and urgent skin-related conditions.
- Maintain compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and infection control guidelines.
- Stay updated with advancements in dermatology, cosmetic treatments, and medical technologies.
- Participate in clinical discussions, departmental meetings, and continuing medical education (CME) activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and uphold ethical medical practices at all times.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of dermatology equipment and clinical tools.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the dermatology department.
- Provide compassionate care and maintain strong doctor–patient relationships.
