Junior Consultant - Cardiology

Dedicated Junior Consultant – Cardiology responsible for assisting in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with cardiovascular diseases. Skilled in clinical evaluation, interpretation of cardiac investigations, and supporting interventional and non-interventional cardiology procedures. Adept at working under senior consultants to deliver high-quality patient care, participate in clinical decision-making, and ensure adherence to evidence-based cardiology protocols and hospital standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
• Assist in diagnosis and treatment planning under supervision of senior cardiologists.
• Interpret ECG, echocardiography, stress tests, and other cardiac investigations.
• Support interventional procedures such as angiography and angioplasty when required.
• Conduct detailed patient history taking and physical cardiovascular examinations.
• Monitor patient progress in inpatient, ICU, and outpatient settings.
• Participate in cardiac emergency care including management of MI and arrhythmias.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including ICU, emergency, and surgical departments.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, patient records, and treatment reports.
• Provide pre- and post-procedure care for cardiac patients.
• Educate patients and families regarding cardiac conditions and lifestyle modifications.
• Assist in ward rounds, case discussions, and clinical meetings.
• Ensure adherence to cardiology protocols, hospital policies, and patient safety standards.
• Support clinical research, audits, and academic cardiology activities.
• Stay updated with advancements in cardiology treatments and interventional techniques.
