ENT Specialist

The ENT Specialist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating disorders related to the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck. This involves OPD consultations, emergency ENT care, diagnostic procedures, minor and major ENT procedures, surgical planning, and follow-up care. The candidate should have strong clinical expertise in ENT conditions, patient communication skills, and the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary hospital teams for safe and effective care.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage ear, nose, throat, head, and neck-related conditions in OPD and inpatient settings.
• Treat cases such as ear infections, sinusitis, tonsillitis, hearing problems, vertigo, allergies, and throat disorders.
• Perform ENT examinations, endoscopy, audiology interpretation, and relevant diagnostic assessments.
• Conduct minor procedures and assist or perform ENT surgeries as per qualification and authority.
• Manage emergency ENT cases such as bleeding, airway concerns, foreign bodies, and acute infections.
• Prescribe medicines, investigations, procedures, and follow-up plans based on clinical evaluation.
• Coordinate with audiology, radiology, anesthesia, nursing, OT, and emergency teams.
• Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, procedure risks, and recovery care.
• Monitor postoperative patients and manage wound care, complications, and follow-up requirements.
• Maintain accurate clinical notes, prescriptions, consent forms, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
• Follow infection control, surgical safety, patient safety, and hospital clinical protocols.
• Support preventive care and patient education for ENT health and hearing conservation.
• Identify complex cases requiring advanced care or multidisciplinary management.
• Participate in clinical audits, departmental meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Deliver ethical, evidence-based, and patient-friendly ENT care.
