Radiologist

The Radiologist will be responsible for interpreting diagnostic imaging studies and supporting accurate clinical diagnosis across hospital departments. This involves reporting X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and other imaging investigations as applicable, coordinating with clinicians, ensuring imaging quality, and guiding interventional or diagnostic procedures when required. The candidate should have strong radiology expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to patient safety and timely reporting.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Interpret diagnostic imaging studies including X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and related modalities as applicable.
• Provide accurate and timely radiology reports to support clinical diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Correlate imaging findings with patient history, clinical details, and investigation requests.
• Perform ultrasound examinations and image-guided diagnostic procedures when required.
• Coordinate with physicians, surgeons, emergency doctors, and specialists for case discussions.
• Ensure imaging quality, proper protocols, and patient safety during radiology procedures.
• Guide radiology technicians regarding patient positioning, imaging views, and protocol requirements.
• Identify critical imaging findings and communicate urgent results promptly to treating doctors.
• Maintain accurate reporting records, procedure documentation, and patient confidentiality.
• Follow radiation safety, contrast safety, infection control, and hospital clinical standards.
• Support emergency radiology services and urgent imaging interpretation when required.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, and quality improvement activities.
• Monitor equipment-related image quality issues and coordinate with biomedical teams when needed.
• Ensure ethical, evidence-based, and patient-centered radiology reporting practices.
• Contribute to improved diagnostic accuracy and timely patient care decisions.
