Interventional Cardiologist

The Interventional Cardiologist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases through advanced interventional procedures and evidence-based cardiac care. This involves performing angiography, angioplasty, stenting, cardiac evaluation, emergency cardiac management, and post-procedure follow-up. The candidate should have strong clinical expertise in interventional cardiology, patient communication skills, and the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective cardiac outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage patients with coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and other cardiac conditions.
• Perform interventional procedures such as coronary angiography, angioplasty, stenting, and related cardiac interventions.
• Evaluate patients through ECG, 2D Echo, TMT, Holter, cardiac enzymes, and advanced cardiac investigations.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on clinical findings and diagnostic results.
• Manage acute cardiac emergencies including chest pain, myocardial infarction, and unstable cardiac conditions.
• Coordinate with cardiac anesthetists, intensivists, cath lab technicians, nurses, and cardiac surgery teams.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after interventional cardiac procedures.
• Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, procedure risks, treatment options, and recovery care.
• Ensure proper consent, documentation, procedure notes, and discharge summaries are maintained.
• Follow hospital protocols, cath lab safety standards, infection control, and ethical medical practices.
• Participate in cardiac case discussions, clinical audits, and patient safety initiatives.
• Support preventive cardiology, lifestyle counseling, and long-term cardiac risk management.
• Identify high-risk cardiac cases and escalate care when advanced support is required.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, prescriptions, investigation reviews, and follow-up plans.
• Contribute to quality cardiac care through evidence-based practice and continuous medical education.
