Urologist

The Urologist will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and surgically managing disorders of the urinary tract and male reproductive system. This involves OPD consultation, inpatient care, emergency urology support, endoscopic procedures, surgical planning, and postoperative follow-up. The candidate should have strong expertise in urological disorders, patient counseling, diagnostic interpretation, and multidisciplinary coordination to deliver safe, ethical, and patient-centered urology care.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage urological disorders involving kidneys, bladder, prostate, urethra, and male reproductive system.
• Conduct OPD consultations, inpatient rounds, emergency reviews, and follow-up care.
• Perform or assist urological procedures, endoscopic interventions, and surgeries as per clinical authority.
• Evaluate cases of kidney stones, urinary obstruction, prostate disease, infections, incontinence, and urological cancers.
• Review ultrasound, CT, urine reports, blood tests, biopsy findings, and other diagnostic results.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient condition and clinical guidelines.
• Coordinate with nephrology, radiology, anesthesia, pathology, nursing, and OT teams for patient care.
• Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, procedures, risks, and recovery.
• Manage postoperative patients and monitor complications, wound care, and follow-up requirements.
• Maintain accurate clinical notes, operative records, consent forms, and discharge summaries.
• Attend urological emergencies and provide timely medical or surgical intervention.
• Ensure compliance with surgical safety, infection control, and hospital clinical protocols.
• Support patient education related to urinary health, hygiene, prevention, and medication adherence.
• Participate in clinical audits, departmental meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Deliver ethical, evidence-based, and patient-friendly urology services.
