Pediatrician

The Pediatrician will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents through diagnosis, treatment, preventive care, vaccination guidance, and emergency pediatric support. This involves OPD consultation, inpatient monitoring, parent counseling, growth assessment, and coordination with nursing, diagnostic, and specialty teams. The candidate should have strong clinical knowledge, compassionate communication, and commitment to safe child-centered healthcare delivery.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage common and complex pediatric illnesses in OPD, IPD, and emergency settings.
• Conduct clinical examinations, growth assessments, developmental evaluations, and treatment planning.
• Manage fever, respiratory infections, gastrointestinal disorders, allergies, infections, and pediatric emergencies.
• Provide newborn, infant, child, and adolescent healthcare support as per clinical guidelines.
• Prescribe medicines, investigations, vaccinations, and follow-up care appropriately.
• Monitor admitted pediatric patients and update treatment plans based on clinical progress.
• Coordinate with nursing, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, emergency, and specialty teams.
• Counsel parents regarding diagnosis, medicines, nutrition, vaccination, hygiene, and child care.
• Identify critical pediatric cases and escalate to ICU or specialist care when required.
• Maintain accurate case records, prescriptions, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Support immunization programs, preventive health checkups, and child health education.
• Attend pediatric emergency calls and provide timely medical intervention.
• Follow infection control, child safety, ethical care, and hospital clinical protocols.
• Participate in departmental audits, training programs, and quality improvement activities.
• Promote child-friendly, family-centered, and safe pediatric care.
