Operations - Cath Lab Executive

The Operations - Cath Lab Executive plays a key in managing operational activities within the Cath Lab, including patient coordination, scheduling procedures, documentation, and interdepartmental communication. This requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate scheduling of Cath Lab procedures including angiography, angioplasty, and other interventional cardiac procedures.
• Manage patient registration, admission coordination, and pre-procedure documentation.
• Ensure all required consent forms, case sheets, and investigation reports are complete prior to procedures.
• Coordinate with cardiologists, anesthetists, nursing staff, and technicians for smooth procedure flow.
• Facilitate pre-procedure preparation and ensure timely readiness of patients.
• Coordinate with billing and insurance teams for approvals, estimates, and cashless procedures.
• Liaise with TPAs and insurance providers for pre-authorization and claim processing.
• Ensure availability of necessary consumables, equipment, and support services in coordination with stores and biomedical teams.
• Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient details, and Cath Lab utilization data.
• Monitor procedure schedules and optimize turnaround time between cases.
• Coordinate post-procedure patient transfer to ICU, wards, or recovery areas.
• Assist in maintaining Cath Lab inventory records and tracking usage of consumables.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support documentation for audits, accreditations, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Handle patient and family communication regarding procedures, timelines, and processes.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all patient-related information.
• Coordinate emergency Cath Lab activations and ensure readiness during critical cases.
• Monitor cleanliness, sterility protocols, and hygiene standards in coordination with housekeeping.
• Work closely with infection control teams to maintain safety protocols.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to Cath Lab operations and performance.
• Assist in vendor coordination and follow-up for equipment servicing and maintenance.
• Escalate delays, operational issues, or critical concerns to senior management promptly.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and patient experience.
• Maintain professionalism, efficiency, and composure in a high-pressure clinical environment.
