Roles & Responsibilities

• Generate and process accurate patient bills for OPD and IPD services.
• Collect payments through cash, card, UPI, and other modes, ensuring proper receipts are issued.
• Handle daily cash transactions and maintain cash registers with accuracy.
• Reconcile daily collections and prepare cash reports for submission.
• Verify billing details including services, procedures, and consumables before payment processing.
• Coordinate with billing and clinical departments for correct charge entries.
• Assist patients with billing-related queries and provide clear information on charges.
• Maintain proper documentation of all billing and cash transactions.
• Ensure compliance with hospital billing policies and financial procedures.
• Support insurance-related billing and documentation where required.
• Monitor and report any discrepancies in billing or cash handling.
• Ensure confidentiality of patient and financial information.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the billing and cashier counter.
• Coordinate with finance/accounts team for smooth financial operations.
