Job Description
Care Hospitals is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician/Technologist to perform imaging procedures using radiopharmaceuticals, ensure radiation safety compliance, and support physicians in accurate diagnosis. The involves patient preparation, image acquisition, equipment maintenance, and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals as per prescribed protocols
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and regulatory guidelines (AERB norms)
- Perform nuclear imaging procedures and ensure high-quality image acquisition
- Monitor patients during and after procedures for any adverse reactions
- Maintain accurate records of radiopharmaceutical usage, inventory, and waste disposal
- Ensure proper functioning, calibration, and maintenance of nuclear medicine equipment
- Follow strict protocols to prevent radiation exposure and contamination
- Educate and guide patients regarding procedures and safety measures
- Report any incidents or deviations to the concerned authority
- Support audits, quality initiatives, and training of junior staff
