Deputy Nursing Superintendent

The Deputy Nursing Superintendent will assist in managing nursing operations, staff supervision, duty allocation, patient care monitoring, nursing documentation, infection control compliance, and departmental coordination at Preethi Hospitals, Madurai. This requires B.Sc Nursing or GNM qualification with minimum 10 years of nursing experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist Nursing Superintendent in supervising nursing activities across hospital departments.
• Monitor patient care quality, medication administration, nursing procedures, and documentation standards.
• Prepare or support duty rosters, manpower allocation, and shift-wise nursing coverage.
• Guide nursing supervisors and staff nurses on clinical care, SOPs, and patient safety practices.
• Coordinate with doctors, nursing heads, pharmacy, laboratory, billing, and administration teams.
• Check nursing records, handover sheets, medication charts, and patient care documentation.
• Ensure emergency trolley readiness, ward supply availability, and equipment preparedness.
• Monitor infection control, biomedical waste, PPE usage, and hygiene compliance.
• Support admission, transfer, discharge, and patient movement coordination.
• Handle nursing-related complaints and escalate major issues to seniors.
• Train and mentor junior nursing staff for better clinical performance.
• Ensure safe, disciplined, and patient-centered nursing service delivery.
