Nursing Supervisor

The Nursing Supervisor will supervise daily nursing operations, staff allocation, patient care quality, documentation standards, infection control practices, and departmental coordination at Preethi Hospitals, Madurai. This requires B.Sc Nursing or GNM qualification with minimum 7 years of nursing experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing activities across assigned wards, ICU, OT, OPD, or clinical departments.
• Prepare duty rosters, allocate nursing staff, and ensure proper shift-wise manpower coverage.
• Monitor patient care quality, medication administration, documentation, and nursing procedures.
• Guide staff nurses on clinical practices, patient safety, infection control, and hospital SOPs.
• Coordinate with doctors, nursing head, pharmacy, laboratory, billing, and support departments.
• Handle patient or attendant concerns related to nursing care and escalate major issues to seniors.
• Check nursing records, handover sheets, medication charts, and patient care documentation.
• Ensure emergency trolley, ward supplies, equipment, and nursing materials are available and ready.
• Monitor infection control, biomedical waste, PPE usage, and hygiene compliance.
• Support admission, transfer, discharge, and patient movement coordination.
• Train and mentor junior nursing staff for better clinical performance.
• Ensure safe, disciplined, and patient-centered nursing service delivery.
